Marine Class Approved Generators

Interpower marine generators range from 20kVA through to over 4000kVA. Every genset is designed, built, tested, and inspected to the highest marine standards, including Lloyds, DNV, BV, ABS and all major classification bodies.

With vessel operators looking into more fuel efficient designs utilising hybrid electrical drive systems, Interpower's latest generation of marine class approved control systems manage multiple set synchronising systems for integration into vessel management systems. As the load requirement of the vessel fluctuates, the power generation system will start and stop on the load demand. This system reduces fuel consumption, increases time between services, and offers improved efficiency in vessel propulsion.

Interpower marine auxiliary generators are available with a number of cooling options to suit the installation, including radiator, heat exchanger, or keel cooled. Other options include electric, air, hydraulic or spring starter systems, and IMO and SOLAS compliant engines.

As standard on Interpower marine generators, all manufactured components go through a rigorous anti-corrosive treatments, to ensure that they are suited for the saline environments in which they operate. Marine grade paints, and corrosion resistive metalwork is standard equipment.

All generators are fully load tested, and full functionality checks are performed in accordance with class society rules, and where required with the presence of society inspectors.
